All of our miniature zebu are registered with the International Miniature Zebu Association (IMZA) as Foundation Pure, and all come with certificates of purity.

If the purity of your miniature zebu and the integrity of its' registration certificate are important to you, you've come to the right place.  All of our miniature zebu are 100% IMZA Foundation Pure.

In my opinion and in my experience, the IMZA Foundation Pure classification holds the most integrity and value of any in existence.  At the end of the day, however, I highly recommend that each person research and understand the registration options for themselves so that they can make an educated decision as to what is right for them.  I'm always happy to chat on the phone with any person who would like further information or a better understanding of how registration works.  Feel free to call me or email me anytime.

The genetics in our herd produce the smallest miniature cattle in the world.

We don't just talk about it, we can prove it.  Our herd sire, Domino, has produced many small, colorful calves in his years, but his mini-masterpiece is surely Blaze, the world's smallest cow.  We love the anticipation that comes along with seeing each new calf born and watching them grow, knowing the potential exists for each calf to be the next Blaze.florida miniature zebu for sale

The reason we can even consider this possibility is due to the awesome genetics in the miniature zebu we have.  We take no credit for creating them, as that was God's doing.  We don't even take credit for bringing them all together, as nobody could have known what combination of miniature zebu would have produced such an unusual treasure.  A little luck always helps.  All we can say for sure about these great genetics is that we know we've got them, and that the genetic disposition to produce incredibly small animals is carried in each and every calf Domino sires.  Our little Blaze, the world's smallest cow, is living proof.

You can dig thousands of holes hoping to strike oil, or you can visit the gas station and pick up a quart.  Buying miniature zebu with proven genetic traits is the surest way to produce the quality and type of animals you are looking for.  Our animals carry the DNA that produced Blaze and many other exceptional calves.

The genetics in our herd produce a variety of color combinations, including paints, fades, solids, reds, blacks, whites, grays, and everything in between.

We love color!  We've always sought to have miniature zebu in our herd that had a history of color in their lineage.  As a result, our animals have produced nearly every color variation seen in the miniature zebu.  We can't wait to check out each new calf and see what it looks like.  When you've got color and paint genetics in your miniature zebu cattle, each and every calf is unique and different.  If every animal we owned was gray, can you guess what the calves would look like?  You got it, they'd be gray.  In my opinion, color genetics add a little extra spice to life!florida miniature zebu for sale

I can't talk about color, however, without giving you a little education.  As miniature zebu cattle were being imported into the U.S. years ago, they primarily came from two sources.  The largest group of miniature zebu was imported from the Dominican Republic to a farm in FL called Komoko.  They were beautiful, wonderful animals.  The Komoko miniature zebu cattle herd was, however, all gray animals.  If you see the name Komoko on a registration, you'll know that so far as color goes, they are less likely to produce colored calves, as they have endless generations of gray miniature zebu in their background.

The other key source of imported miniature zebu was a small group of cattle that were brought in from a zoo in Sweden.  While several of these animals were gray, two very important animals were red.  A red miniature zebu bull named Swede and a red miniature zebu cow named Little Red are the only known pure source of color in North America's miniature zebu cattle.  These two animals impacted the breed in a dramatic and positive way.

From these original two red miniature zebu, red and red/white paint patterns slowly began to emerge in the breed.  Spots, fades, paints, and solids, in a variety of color variations eventually were brought out as well.  It was a slow process starting with just two animals, but over the last 20 years and multiple generations of miniature zebu calves, the colors that began with the original Swede are much easier to find today than in years past.

Beware - color did enter the miniature zebu another way.  Some miniature zebu owners who wanted color genetics in their herd could not find Swede calves available early on, so they crossbred their miniature zebu with Angus, Longhorn, and other colored breeds of cattle.  While this was an effective shortcut to getting the color they desired, it destroyed the pure miniature zebu genetics of their animals and their herds.  Future generations of calves from these animals can sometimes display traits of other breeds in their background, like abnormally large heads, tall size, different body shape, etc.

Miniature zebu cattle with color patterns and color genetics are very popular and often command a higher price when sold.  They are fun to breed and create a lot of anticipation during calving season.  If breed purity is important to you, consider if the colored stock you are looking at is from a pure source, and not the result of cross-breeding or other methods that sacrifice genetic purity.florida miniature zebu for sale  Make sure you are educated and know how to interpret registration papers, and only buy from a breeder that you trust.

Each of our miniature zebu were hand selected from quality herds around the country to ensure the genetic diversity of our offspring.

We've gone to great lengths to purchase quality miniature zebu from different regions of the country to help diversify our genetics.  If we had only sought out miniature zebu from our local area, there is a better chance that they would have been more closely related to each other, which could have resulted in in-breeding.

When purchasing miniature zebu, the integrity, reputation, and trustworthiness of the breeder is almost as important as the animal itself.  As in other areas of life, your purchase is only as good as the person who sold it to you.

It is very important that the breeder has done everything possible to ensure the health and genetic integrity of their stock, so choose a miniature zebu breeder that you trust has considered this in their breeding program.

The bloodlines of our miniature zebu herd go back to the original Swede himself.

One of the things I'm very proud of is that we have several miniature zebu that are first and second generation calves of the original Swede.  One of our miniature zebu cows, who is pretty old now, is actually one of the few original calves Swede sired before he passed away.

florida miniature zebu for saleThe closeness of our bloodlines to this original Swedish stock ensures that the miniature zebu you purchase from us is not 20 generations removed from the original.  You may get a miniature zebu calf that is only second or third generation removed from Swede himself.  The closer you can get to the original, the less likely you'll be to get the genetics of possible cross-breeds or other breed introductions.

Domino's daddy is one of the only two sons of the famous "Swede" and "Little Red", (the originals, the legends) the colored miniature zebu pair that introduced a red legacy into the miniature zebu breed in North America.  They were the first red and painted miniature zebu brought into the United States, imported from Sweden.

We strive to offer the purest original genetics to ensure the quality and integrity of the miniature zebu calves we sell.

This is Little Swede, Domino's daddy (now deceased).  He was one of only two male offspring from the original "Swede" and "Little Red"
